Made up of one single zone 128 bottle unit and one dual zone 121 bottle unit with opposite hinged doors, this FlexCount Series 3Z-VSWR2128-SST Multi-Zone Wine Cellar Refrigerator from Allavino gives you three distinct, separately operated temperature zones that make it easy to store up to 249 diverse wine bottles. Each zone can be quickly monitored and adjusted using digital displays with push button controls, and "red", "white", and "sparkling" indicator lights allow you to confirm at a glance that your wines are being kept at their ideal temperatures. The 3Z-VSWR2128-SST also features Allavino's revolutionary new durable metal shelving, which glides out smoothly on roller assembles for quick access to every bottle in your collection. These shelves have beautiful stainless steel fronts and wood slats that cradle your bottles to help minimize harmful vibration. This unit has a front-venting design and finished top and sides that make it suitable for built-in or freestanding use.
The 2X-VSWR121-2SST features 22 shelves that can hold up to 11 bottles each for a maximum capacity of 242 bottles. The maximum capacity can be reached with many different bottle sizes and is only affected when adding in larger Pinot or Champagne bottles. Store red, white, and sparkling wine simultaneously with this three zone unit, which features a digital display with easy-to-use push button controls that allow you to easily adjust each zone's temperature.
Each zone has it's own digital display with easy to use push button controls so setting and reading the display is a snap! This wine refrigerator can be set low enough for white or sparkling wine, or high enough for red wine, ensuring your collection is always stored at it's optimum temperature. Cool blue LED lighting beautifully elegantly illuminates your bottles while remaining cooler than standard bulbs, and can be turned on or off with the push of a button.
Allavino is at the leading edge of shelf design, incorporating revolutionary metal shelves that are strong enough to hold bottles without sagging, yet thin enough to maximize the available space in the cabinet for wine storage. Wood slats refine each shelf and gently cradle each bottle to prevent harmful vibration from affecting your wine. Each shelf is finished with a stylish stainless steel front to match the door frame. Each of the shelves glide out smoothly on ball bearing tracks, so every bottle is easily accessible.
The intelligent design of the shelves creates more space between each shelf, allowing you to store bottles with varying diameters without having to remove racks which would reduce your overall capacity. Click on the Features tab above to see how your specific collection can be stored on the FlexCount shelves.
This unit is front-venting, and can be built in to your cabinetry for a seamless look. It also has finished sides and top, allowing you to use it as a freestanding unit that will look great in any room of your home. A built-in security lock protects your collection, and two keys are included so that you can always have a backup on hand.
Internal fans circulate air inside the unit, reducing initial cool down time and preventing drastic temperature fluctuations that could be harmful to your wine.
This wine cellar has 19 shelves that can hold up to 11 bottles each and 2 shelves that can hold up to 20 bottles each for a maximum bottle capacity of 249 bottles. The maximum capacity can be reached with many different bottle sizes and is only affected when adding in larger Pinot or Champagne bottles, making this the ideal unit for diverse wine collections.
This is the standard 750 mL bottle, which most wine refrigerators are configured around as it is the most popular size on the market. It measures 11-1/2" tall with a 2-15/16" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 7-3/4" to 8-1/2". This wine cellar has 19 shelves that can each hold up to 11 of these bottles and 2 shelves that can each hold 20 for a maximum bottle capacity of 249 bottles.
This bottle is taller than the standard 750 mL bottle. It measures 12-1/16" tall with a 2-15/16" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 8" to 9". The taller shoulder and top would normally wreak havoc on your wine storage because the necks would touch, making the overall length of the bottles too tall for most shelves or pushing the outside bottles out, causing them to hit the sides of the wine refrigerator. Generally, you would have to remove a shelf to accommodate these bottles, but with the extra space available on these shelves, they fit just fine and do not affect the overall capacity.
This bottle has the same diameter at the base, but the shoulder is wider, which would generally push it out of the grooves and make it rub on the shelf above. It measures 11-7/8" tall with a 2-15/16" diameter at the base and the shoulder tapers up from 7-1/2" to 8-1/4" with a 3-1/16" diameter. Due to the smart spacing on these shelves, these bottles fit with room to spare, preventing rubbing and allowing the maximum bottle capacity to stay the same.
This bottle is wider and shorter than the standard 750 mL bottle. It measures 10-5/8" tall with a 3-1/4" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 5-1/2" to 8". Bottles this wide don't usually fit in wine refrigerators and if they do, they have issues with rubbing on the shelf above and scuffing your labels. This wine refrigerator has no issues with this type of bottle so once again, your maximum capacity will not be affected if you have them in your collection.
Until now, you wouldn't dream of fitting a Pinot bottle in a wine refrigerator without removing wine racks and drastically reducing the overall capacity. It measures 11-5/8" tall with a whopping 3-1/2" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 5-1/2" to 8-1/4". On this model, you can fit 6 Pinot Bottles on the bottom shelves and 11 bottles on both the spaced shelf and the top shelves for a total of 45 Pinot bottles without having to remove a rack. Even with 45 Pinot bottles, you still have a capacity of 221 bottles.
You can even store Champagne bottles without having to remove a wine rack! They measures 12-1/4" tall with a 3-3/4" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 5-1/2" to 7-3/4". This wine refrigerator will store 6 Champagne bottles on the bottom shelves and 8 on both the space shelf and top shelves for a total of 36 Champagne bottles and an overall capacity of 212 wine bottles..
Perhaps there are people out there that only drink one type of wine, all the time. Most wine connoisseurs with a diverse palate are going to have varying bottle sizes in their collection, so having the ability to store all those varying bottle sizes without having to reconfigure and reduce your storage makes this the wine refrigerator of choice.

|These coolers are beautiful!|
|Comments:||In short, these coolers (two separate units) have been excellent and I have no serious complaints. The looks great and they function exactly as they should. The shelves are strong and are relatively adaptable to different bottle sizes, the controls are simple and intuitive and it's not nearly as loud as some other reviews for similar models suggest. |
My only complaints are related to the actual design. And I complain only because the designers were so close to getting it perfect. All they had to do was add about an inch to the width and an inch to the height and then all but the fattest champagne and pinot bottles would fit without issue. I know that the product description points out these two bottle shapes, but in practice there are many higher-end wine makers that use heavier, thicker, and sometimes slightly taller bottles that all will create issues with trying to get 11 bottles on a shelf. Standard bottles - no problem. Everything else - could be a problem. And it's not just the width of the shelf, it's also the height. Some bottles (not just pinot noirs) are tick enough that you can't close the shelf while some are close and only scrape the label off. Not the end of the world, but disappointing. Now, there are 3 shelves on the left and two on the right that are capable of holding all of these fatter bottles, but that may not be enough. In real world usage, knowing that there aren't many people out there that are going to spend a few thousand dollars on wine storage and then fill it up only with $10 bottles of wine, these coolers probably hold a little less than 200 bottles. I've got a pretty good mix of Californians, French, Italian, Spanish and southern hemisphere wines, and that's about where I'm at.
The thing that's so frustrating is the coolers only had to be slightly larger. It's not like these are standard sized for any particular space as they are designed now. Make each side 1 inch wider and taller, charge $20 more for the additional parts and materials, and they would get 5 stars in my book. So close!
Even so, they are excellent. I'd give them a 9 out of 10, but I can't rate them at 100%.
|Bottom Line:||I would recommend this product.|
