A combination 15-BAR espresso machine and 10-cup drip coffee maker, the Krups XP2010 is a wonderful addition to any kitchen countertop.
The espresso machine features a die-cast thermoblock heating element and a heavyweight portafilter that uses both ground espresso and E.S.E. pre-portioned pods. Switch easily from brewing espresso to frothing milk with the oversized controls. The espresso machine also features a Perfect Froth steam nozzle, filter basket storage in the lid, a cup warming tray and a removable water tank with optional filtration.
With a simple push of a button, the coffee maker switches on and is ready to brew coffee. Fresh brewed coffee is delivered into the 10-cup glass carafe for serving. The coffee maker also includes a removable filter holder for easy cleaning, a visible water level indicator and optional water filtration.

| Comments: | I purchased the unit to use for cappuccino and the frother works well and has a good taste. I read a review that someone had a leak. I think maybe the put ESE pods in the filter or the head may not be tight enough. I have done pots of coffee, espresso, and cappuccino and never had a leak. The reason I didn't rate it higher is because it is pretty basic. But for the price it works very good. |

| Comments: | I needed a Espresso-Coffee machine to fit on our counter. The Krups 2010 fit the location perfect. Their isn't a lot of machines in this dimension. The coffee container will fill the pot in 10 minutes or less for a 10 cup. I looked at several machines in the 500 + price. I am very surprised how well this machine has worked for me and I saved quite a bit of money. |

| Comments: | I've used this model for both espresso and filter coffee, both enjoyable and great tasting. Easy to use and space-saving. Unfortunately after having to return my second unit (the espresso function broke on the 1st - no longer able to create steam) the second leaked mysteriously all over the counter top even when apparently empty!? |

The only negative is the carafe seems a little fragile. I just wash it carefully. I think this is a terrific espresso maker for the dollar. |
