DeLonghi ESAM3300 Magnifica Super Automatic Espresso Machine
By grinding the beans immediately before brewing, the DeLonghi ESAM3300 Magnifica Super Automatic Espresso Machine ensures you'll enjoy the freshest espresso or coffee. An integrated professional-quality conical burr grinder produces consistent, aromatic grounds and offers fineness adjustment for all types of beans.
Double boilers eliminate the need to wait between espresso and steam, and the improved stainless steel piped aluminum espresso boiler heats water faster and is more durable. A patented cappuccino system frother features a special chamber that mixes steam and milk to create a rich, creamy froth.
Separate control dials allow for easy adjustment of coffee strength and brewed amounts. A one to two cup selector lets you serve up one or two large mugs or small espressos. The adjustable coffee spouts accommodates different size cups, from demitasse to 12-ounce mugs. Other features include a removable 1.8-liter water tank, a 3-hour automatic shut-off and a decalcification system that indicates when it's to clean the machine.

| Love the machine but...... | |

| Comments: | I started drinking cappuccino's 27 years ago in Italy. I purchased a machine over there and when I had to replace it, I went to Krups. Never had any problems with them and I had 2 or 3. I decided I wanted to have luxuary. Just under a year old and the "needs water" light kept coming on although there was water in the tank. It would work off and on. Contacted the company, tech support walked me through a few tests. Machine finally stopped completely while the boxes were coming to ship for repair. Did not work for over a week. The boxes arrived and the thing started working again. It just quite again about 1 month later. Tech support was very nice. I just ship the machine out today. I hope it doesn't take long to repair. I bought a less expensive one to get me through the fix. I am dissappointed that I had problems with the machine for the cost. I am glad it is covered by warranty but nervous for the future. My son has a Seaco for 4 years now and never had a problem with it. The machine makes great coffee and is fast. |

| Comments: | My husband and I first brought the Saeco Spidem auto espresso machine, the coffee was okay but with in a week it broke down. Had no problems returning it to Costo. After much research and reading reviews... we brought the Delonghi Magnifica... and boy what a difference. We are totally happy with it, it brews the most amazing cup of espresso with great crema.. yes it makes a little noise, but hey big deal. It makes a consistant brew everytime and you can make cup after cup no hassles. The shot/shots of espresso come out nice and hot and it steams the milk really fast and hot also. It is easy to clean.. as you can take out the brew group and rinse it frequently which is recommended on the instructions. The machine does rinse or purge about 2oz of water when you switch on and about 1oz when you switch it of. Maybe a little much for the rinsing factor, but hey it's no big deal. Once again the espresso that comes out of it is really great with flavour and crema. So far we have used Pete's espresso forte and Major Dickinson blend and Starbucks espresso all whole beans. Oh one other thing.. it also has a slot where you can put a shot of ground coffee in for the friend that wants decaf or just to use ground coffee. We brought it from Bed Bath & Beyond whom also have a great return policy if needed, and we used the 20% coupon. I recommend buying it from a place that will not give you a hassle should a problem arise. So far so good and we have had it for about 1mth now. Really excited to come home for a good coffee, rather than spending 3-4 dollars a pop out somewhere. Hope this helps out! :-) |

| Starbucks can't have my money! | |

| Comments: | I simply got tired of paying out the nose for espresso from Starbucks and invested in my own machine. Boy, am I glad I did. I was no barista when I started, but after a little trial and error, I got the cycle down to a science and I make a great cup of espresso, if I do say so myself! I love that it's got different settings and is so adjustable because not everyone likes their cup as strong as mine... The frother makes great foam quickly. Possibly the best part for me is the automatic rinse when you turn off the machine. |
