Bodum New Kenya 4-Cup Tea Press
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Tea is a cultural drink, for which there have been rituals through out time. As with all old habits, there is no one method of making tea to which all agree as being the right one. Below however, you find the most important steps for success:
- Always use clean utensils, brown coating in a teapot is not supporting good taste.
- Use cold, fresh water. Cold water contains a lot of oxygen which gives the tea its full flavour.
- Do not overfill the strainer, tea leaves need room to swell in order to reach their full potential and flavour.
- Place the loose tea in the teapot strainer one teaspoon (2g) per cup or at your liking.
- Slowly pour water onto the tea the moment it starts to boil.
- Place the lid on top, let it flow on top of the water to keep the water hot.
- Brew the tea to your personal strength (or according to different types of tea).
- Press the plunger down to stop the brewin process immediately.
- Pour the tea and enjoy a tea suiting your personal taste.
TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT CUP OF TEA
- Do not heat the teapot KENYA on stoves - heat the water seperately and pour it into the teapot.
- For real good tea use clean, fresh water just off the boil.
- For green tea you have to leave the water to cool for a while before pouring it over the tea (approx. 70° / 158 F).
- Pour the water slowly onto the tea - mixing tea and water this way will support the tea to reach its full potential.
- Brewing green tea of fruit tea requires a longer brewing time than black tea.
