CO2 Regulator Frequently asked Questions

What are the main components of a regulator and what do they do?

  1. Low pressure gauge (reads the amount of internal keg pressure)
  2. Optional high pressure gauge (indicates existing pressure in the CO2 cylinder)
  3. Adjustment lock nut
  4. Regulator adjustment screw (after keg is tapped, screw clockwise until low pressure gauge (Figure 1) indicates between 12 & 14 lbs)
  5. Optional shut-off valve
  6. CO2 Nut (use fiber washer)
