White Labs WLP675 Malolactic Bacteria I Cultures use bacteria from the lactic acid bacteria family to convert malic acid into lactic acid, a process known as Malolactic Fermentation. Lactic acid is less acidic than malic acid, which in turn decreases acidity and helps to soften and/or round out some of the flavors in wine. These liquid cultures come in a vial to inoculate 6 gallons.
PLEASE NOTE: Use caution when using this product with wine kits, which contain potassium sorbate and effect the viability of malolactic bacteria.
Due to variable temperatures and transit times we are unable to guarantee that the yeast will remain at the ideal temperature for the entire journey. For increased protection, we suggest adding ice packs and insulated packaging, available below as optional upgrades. If you are ordering yeast during summertime or are located in a warmer climate, we recommend ordering dry yeast rather than liquid yeast.
