Sweet Mead/Wine Yeast


White Labs WLP720 Sweet Mead/Wine Yeast is a wine yeast strain that is less attenuative and leaves some residual sweetness. It is slightly fruity and will tolerate alcohol concentrations up to 15%. This yeast is a good choice for sweet mead and cider, as well as Blush wines, Gewurztraminer, Sauternes, and Riesling.

  • Optimum Ferment Temperature: 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit (21-24 degrees Celsius)

Due to variable temperatures and transit times we are unable to guarantee that the yeast will remain at the ideal temperature for the entire journey. For increased protection, we suggest adding ice packs and insulated packaging, available below as optional upgrades. If you are ordering yeast during summertime or are located in a warmer climate, we recommend ordering dry yeast rather than liquid yeast.
