Danby incorporates a revolutionary dual hose design in its DPAC9008 9000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner. This innovative design utilizes the water collected in the internal bucket during the air conditioning process, showering it over the evaporator coils to improve efficiency and reduce energy usage. Showering the coils with the water does an excellent job of cooling the system as well as accelerates the evaporation process, allowing more of the condensed moisture to be expelled outside, which in turn almost eliminates the need to empty the bucket.

With a 9,000-BTU cooling capacity and a moisture removal rate of 56.4 pints per 24 hours, the DPAC9008 offers excellent cooling capabilities for ares up to 400 square feet. It features electronic controls with the choice of three fan speeds and variable electronic temperature control. The unit offers a direct drain option and includes a hose for continuous operation. Additional features include a remote control, oscillating 4-way air direction and casters that allow the air conditioner to be wheeled from room to room.
