Using the technology of UV Germicidal Lighting (UV-C), the Sunpentown WA-1410 Portable Air Conditioner can effectively inactivate microorganisms in the air. The short wavelength (200 to 270 nm) of UV-C allows it to penetrate the outer membranes of bacteria, yeasts, mold and viruses. It disables the microorganisms' ability to reproduce by breaking down their DNA.

Like the WA-1400E, the WA-1410E operates at a powerful 14,000 BTU and can cool up to 500 square feet. The digital temperature display and digital thermostat with remote allow flexible control of the temperature from 62°F to 90°F. In addition, this portable air conditioner can remove over 53 pints of moisture per day and includes an ionizer to further improve air quality.

Optional Heater Upgrade
An upgraded model with a heater is also available. The WA-1410H has the same cooling power as the WA-1410E with the addition of a 14,000 BTU heating capacity capable of warming up to 500 square feet.

Self-Evaporating Technology
This air conditioner features self-evaporating technology, which extracts water from the air during the cooling or heating process. Most of the water is then recycled and used to cool the cooling coils, making it run more efficiently. When using the heating mode, continuous drainage is highly recommended.
