Summit Kegerator SBC-500B Full Size Keg Beer Cooler
The Summit SBC-500B kegerator is a portable beer tap that comes complete with all the necessary draft beer hardware you need to tap a fresh keg of beer. By storing your keg in the Summit beer dispenser at a recommended 32°-36° and maintaining it under 10 psi of constant CO2 pressure, your keg beer can last up to several months. The Summit Kegerator holds a full size Keg (1/2 barrel keg, 15.5 gallons) with plenty of room to hold the 5 lb. CO2 tank. The Summit beer dispenser is very quiet and energy efficient (approx. $40/yr).
2 1/2" Swivel casters make this unit easy to move from the garage to the patio. A metal safety rail keeps mugs and glasses from sliding off. The Summit keg refrigerator comes with simple and detailed instructions on how to assemble and properly maintain the unit.
The CO2 tank is not charged, so you will need to get it filled locally. Look under "gas" in your local yellow pages. A full CO2 tank should push around about 5 to 8 full size kegs. The door is a non-reversible, right hand swing.

| Comments: | I have had kegs on tap for many years but always a converted refrigerator. I finished my basement bar and wanted a nice unit. I did a LOT of research and I think this is the best unit for the price (although price was not an issue). I went with the stainless top. It keeps beer cold, the only thing I would change would be to upgrade the tower to SS. The only complaint I have is that I had to put 3" pieces of PVC over the wheels to make it stand still. The wheels don't lock and it sits on concrete. This is a very nice unit. |

I have experience (unfortantely) with cheaper units...that don't keep the beer cold, are tight on space inside the unit, etc. This is a fanastic unit at a fantastic price!! Keeps the keg freezing cold, keeps the gas in the unit, and room for keeping mugs icy cold. EASY setup. Buy and enjoy!! |

| Comments: | I am already on my second keg with this unit. It will keep the beer way below the recommended 38 degrees. I absoutly love the machine. The only issue I had with it is the beer in the tower is about 5 degrees warmer than the beer in the keg. This causes alot of foam on the first glass you pour. From all the research I have done on these, most all of them have this same issue. It is an easy fix, I built a small tower cooler out of a pc fan and some pvc pipe. Now the beer in the tower is only about 1 to 2 degrees different and the first glass I pour is acceptable. Unless you splurge for a commercial grade kegerator that has a glycol cooling system for the tower, I dont think you can beat the quality of this unit. |
