Extremely happy with purchase
by:Michele (08-05-2017)

Comments:This is a handsome and efficient wine fridge. We needed more capacity to accommodate our wines from the wineries we belong to and made the choice to go with this model and the price was great!!
Love the sleek look and the slide out wooden shelves. The temperature fluctuations always stay within the acceptable range and is to be expected based on my research I did on this concern most people mentioned in reviews.

We bought this unit several months ago and have had zero problems. The capacity will vary depending on the size of the bottles you store.

I would not hesitate for a moment doing business again with Beverage Factory! Cheers!
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

New Vite Series 115 bottle wine fridge
by:Wine guy (04-06-2017)
San Diego
Comments:We have had our refrigerator for about a month. It was delivered in perfect shape. We did not pay the extra $300 to have the delivery box removed, installed, and have the trash hauled away. Since we put it in our garage we only had a few feet to move it and it was not too heavy. Everything seems to work fine except the thermometer vacillates from 55-59 degrees for no apparent reason(we set the temp at 58 degrees). Is there a problem with the thermostat? We don't know but our wine is chilled appropriately.

We bought it knowing the capacity requires stacking which defeats the purpose of pulling out the shelves to see what the wine is.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Staff Reply:Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We're glad to hear it's working out well for you so far.

As far as the temperature display, it sounds like you're seeing the normal temperature fluctuation inside the unit. It is not unusual for the air temperature to change as the unit cycles on and off, but the liquid temperature in the bottles would remain steady as it takes much longer for liquid temperature to change. If you are describing something different and would like further information, please feel free to contact our customer service and we'd be happy to talk it over with you.

Regards,
The Beverage Factory

89 bottle capacity
by:Barolo Joe (02-11-2017)
BREA, CA
Comments:Unit is attractive but no where near the advertised capacity of 115. I have a variety of bottles in all different sizes and it was like doing a puzzle to get 89 into the unit. Many of my bottles are Bordeaux size cabs and Bordeaux. If you have the larger, heavy glass, fatter shoulder cab bottles, forget stacking the shelves and you will be down in the 70 range. Burgundy and Pinot Noir bottles are limited to 8 per shelf. Several shelves cannot be double stacked as depicted in the pictures. A few more inches in height would have made a world of difference for this unit as it would have allowed for the space between shelves necessary to allow all shelves to be stackable. You do hear the motor when it cycles on but it isn't obnoxious. With these limitations, I would still recommend the unit with a rating of 3.5
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Great value
by:Paul (01-03-2017)
Vallejo, CA
Comments:This thing is great! It holds a large amount of wine bottles, it looks great and we rarely notice it in the bar.

The only complaint I have is that the LED displaying the temp is fairly bright so in a dark room it stands out a little more than I would like but that picking at nits.

I'm really not sure what the other reviews are talking about complaining about the noise. It's pretty quiet unless you're sitting right next to it then it's a very low hum. But what does one expect with a piece of machinery? You wouldn't be able to hear it over pretty much anything else unless you were listening for it.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Day 1 = Good with one BIG reservation
by:John S. (09-03-2016)
Columbia, MO
Comments:First off I would give this 3.5 stars if I could.

I'll start off by saying I purchased this by simply Googling "wine refrigerators" and came upon Beverage Factory's website. 4 years ago I purchased a smaller NewAir dual zone wine refrigerator from Amazon and the upper unit failed within the first year, the bottom is still going strong. I don't know why these things are so expensive but comparing prices, this is one of the better priced larger units you are going to find.

Communication from Beverage Factory is excellent, right after the purchase all the way up to delivery. You're going to get plenty of informative emails from them. Pilot Services out of St. Louis delivered the fridge and had one slight issue with delivery, they said they called my cell and left a message and I never had a call from them. You will get a tracking number from Beverage Factory and monitoring that daily was the only way I saw this error. Pilot Services had updated the tracking log with the errored info and I called them directly to clarify and set up delivery. They told me it would be delivered this past Friday from 10am-6pm with a 1 hour advance courtesy call. They arrived at 4pm and I never got the courtesy call either. The delivery driver was excellent and used a dolly to bring it down to my basement door. So far I'm extremely happy. FYI, I ordered the unit on 8/20 and the packing slip said it came from San Diego, CA. It was delivered to me on 9/2 in Columbia, MO so I would expect 2 weeks for delivery.

The unit is packaged well but with most appliances the shipping company and how they handle it is most important and my guy was very careful and gentle, there were no punctures or rips to the cardboard box it came in. After unpacking the unit and bringing it into my basement, setup is extremely easy. Inside the unit you will find the manual and 2 door handles, one is a straight bar type handle and the other a curved handle. This is a nice touch. The wood racks are ok. They aren't heavy or dense with a premium wood but instead a lightweight although solid cheaper wood. I was worried the wood is so cheap it may not handle the weight of the wine bottles but they do and still felt solid with the added weight. I did notice that some of my drawers were not level, one side was higher then the other which is noticeable when looking at them through the front glass. Not a huge issue but disappointing if you're a perfectionist.

The racks all slide out except for the very bottom one which is fixed. There are 9 racks total. The very bottom rack is only 5 1/8 inches tall and likely you will only get 6 bottles stored here, you won't be able to stack like the pictures show you. The next 7 racks up from the bottom rack are 5 1/2 inches tall and this is where the biggest issue lies. We are primarily cab drinkers and the wine bottles for cab have a larger diameter than say a bordeaux bottle which we also have. I am barely able to get 6 bottles of cab to lay across on each rack, plus 2 more bottles in the front like you see in the photos. That's 8 bottles a rack and you CANNOT stack these! There is not enough height. Our bordeaux bottles are better. 6 across the back and 2 in the front like the cab's however you do have enough room to stack 5 more bottles with the smaller size and therefore can get a total of 13 bottles on a rack. The top most rack has a 6 1/2 inch clearance and is able to stack 13 bottles as well because of this extra space. Doing the math with a entire cab inventory you will be able to stack 13 bottles on the top rack, 8 bottles each on the remaining 7 racks and 6 bottles on the bottom rack totaling 75 bottle capacity. This quite frankly sucks and is far from the 115 bottle advertisement. Now I realize all wine fridge manufacturers indicate their capacities with these smaller diameter bottles but when you start looking at this fridge it would have been so damn simple to give us all that added little extra bit of height to accommodate ALL sizes rather than the small ones. Had I known this, knowing we need storage for cab's I'm not sure I would have bought this unit or honestly should have done more research. I'm getting nowhere near the capacity I need and now I'm forced to look at finding another unit to accommodate all our wines. I also took pictures to explain all this but the site does not let me upload them so hopefully I did a good enough job with my explanations. I should also add the unit is a compressor model and mine is pretty quiet.

I would recommend this unit even with it's major fault of debatable capacity. Manufacturer if you are listening, make the slight increase in shelf space and you will have a great and honest product!
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Poorly Built
by:thebej (07-30-2016)
Las Vegas
Comments:Works well, but we were sent the wrong screws for the door handle, plus the base is on crooked. So the whole unit is sort of woobly despite adjusting the the base anchors. Got better when 100 bottles of wine were added.
Bottom Line:I would not recommend this product.

Very Happy
by:Bob (05-16-2016)
Upper Jay, NY
Comments:A beautiful piece of furniture in the room. With start up problems in the beginning (largely due to my own ineptitude with electronics, not problems with the unit), Beverage Factory customer service stayed with me until the "problem" was was resolved, even scheduling an in-home service call. Not only that, the customer service rep continued to follow up with phone calls to be sure I remained satisfied with the refrigerator. I am deeply impressed. That said, the initial difficulty in getting the unit to work properly could have been avoided in it's entirety had the service rep, herself, had a better knowledge of the the simple workings of the control panel and the operators' manual been more detailed in it's instructions on getting started. It wasn't written for Luddites.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Good product so far
by:Guido (04-29-2016)
Washington DC
Comments:Only in service for a couple of weeks, but so far, so good. Keeps its set temperature accurately enough. Well made, it seems. Except attaching the door handle was a little bit less than easy, and the fit of the handle is not very smooth. Two handles were included, and one must choose. Maybe the other would fit better. The seller (BF) was excellent to work with. Very responsive, knowledgeable, and attentive.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

A Nice Cooler
by:Steve (03-01-2016)
Davis, CA
Comments:First, the customer service was, and remains, Excellent. All my questions were answered and people were very nice. The unit arrived intact and is humming away, holding temp and functioning as expected, within tolerance.

It's still early to tell how the unit will hold up, but I have an extended warranty, so all is well there. A nice unit.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Delighted with Wine Refrigerator
by:Fredrick (11-23-2015)
Tulsa, OK
Comments:I had been collecting red wines for about a year and needed a temperature controlled place to store them. This unit looked like it would do the job.
I have not completely finished loading the unit with wine yet, I need to do some rack adjustments, but that is one of the nice things about this unit, the racks are adjustable.
I placed the unit in the garage near the door into the house so noise was not a problem, but as it turned out the unit is quite quiet.
Leveling the unit went very smoothly.
The temperature stabilized very quickly and the unit has a broad range to choose from. I am using the unit for reds, but it can easily keep whites chilled to the lower temperatures without a problem. We loke our whites CHILLED.
On the down side, and these are rather pickey.
The blue lights, although giving a nice ambiance, do not offer the light necessary to adaquetly determine which wine is which, and the light to the lower shelves is totally blocked. WE have an overhead light near the unit so this posess no problem for us. The only other negative would be the same for all wine coolers, not all bottles are the standard size that the bottle count for the unit is based on. I was able to maximize the bottles in our unit but my wife claims I did a poor job because the arrangement is not neat and pretty. Well the wine is in the unit and it is kept at the correct temperature. What more can you ask for?
I whole heartedly recommend this wine cooler, in fact I may get another. I'm sure the one I have needs a brother.
This is the second wine cooler we have purchased from The Beverage Factory. They have good products.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Great product, Nice Presentation
by:Mikedeg1 (11-11-2015)
Chicago, IL
Comments:The unit is quiet, I have it in my basement, open area, near my desk where I work. No issues. Looks great, shelves slide nice, I put the curved handle on. I was out to get a perfect wine refrigerator and this is close. Someday, someone still needs to invent one that can accommodate the larger diameter bottles that have gotten so popular. Yes, you can adjust the shelf height, but all it takes is a few wider bottles and you can't lay the specified amount to get a complete row. I will never actually get the full capacity in it, but for now, it is way better than what I had!
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
by:Mark (10-30-2015)
Cedar Rapids, IA
Comments:Received this wine cooler just last week. I am very impressed with the quality and the performance so far. I did a lot of research and check many reviews...there were several comments about this unit not holding steady temperature and being noisy. I purchased a digital refrigerator thermometer and have placed it on every shelf in the unit. It holds a very steady temp from top to bottom and it is as quiet as either of my standard refrigerators. Unit did arrive with one damaged leg (shipping damage) and Beverage Factory immediately shipped out a replacement and gave me a $50 credit on my card without needing to ask. Overall - it's early but very pleased with this purchase.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Very Nice Wine Cooler at good price
by:Rick (10-28-2015)
Florida
Comments:The only reason I do not rate 5 stars is that the leg mounts are somewhat flimsy. I don't see it being a major problem but the legs mount to a rather thin corner material and when the cooler is fully loaded there is a lot of weight to deal with. Other than that I think it is a great value item.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Great wine cooler
by:Dom (09-29-2015)
Morton Grove, Illinois
Comments:This cooler looks great, keeps my red wines at a perfect 53 degrees temperature.
I was able to fit 115 bottles in this cooler. There are 8 shelves which is able to hold 13 bottles each, and the bottom shelve holds 11 bottles. Great cooler for the money? If you need a great cooler this is the one for you, plus it has a great appearance which is currently in my dinning room.
Salute! Dom
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Great cooler
by:JCF (07-08-2015)
Santa Barbara
Comments:This cooler is good looking and runs acceptably quiet. The interior fan actually makes a bit more noise than the compressor. My Pinot, Syrah and most Cab bottles only allow 8 bottles per shelf but in a very convenient display. The shelves are sturdy and work smoothly. The one thing this cooler could use is a small roller guide beneath the door on the handle side to support the door when closed as the door sags about an eighth of an inch when closed. My smaller cooler has one of these guides to keep the door square when closed. Overall construction is quite good and I am very pleased with this purchase. If I wanted to get more bottles in the unit I would probably remove one shelf and increase the shelf spacing allowing bottles to be stacked.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

LOVE IT!
by:Chris (04-22-2015)
San Diego, CA
Comments:Love it! Was afraid the price was to good to be true but so far I am very happy. Looks great and seems to be well made maintains set temperature within 2 degrees and is less noisy then a regular refrigerator. Have only had it about month so I cannot say anything about longevity. Beverage factory and the delivery service they use were also awesome and easy to work with.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Very pleased!!!
by:avdedios (12-24-2014)
Herndon, VA
Comments:I've had it for 5 days and so far I'm very happy with this wine refrigerator. It's so quiet compared to my thermo electric one because of the fans. I've set it to 53 degrees and it's been maintaining from 53-56 degrees.

It so elegant looking and when you open it, you can smell the cedar wood.

I was looking at the Wine Enthusiast Classic for $1299 before I bought this. I'm glad I did and saved over $500.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Glad I went forlarger capacity as 75 bottles is pretty much all I can fit in this refrigerator
by:Paul (10-20-2014)
Florida
Comments:Only received it a few days ago it's bigger than I thought but it definitely doesn't hold over 100 bottles I will be lucky to get 70 into it and it was delivered without the door handle and an owners manual but the cooling system works very quickly and very well, also I am glad it is not in an area where there is a lot of traffic as it is a little noisy. But very presentable and in general I think I'm going to be happy when I receive my door handle, Not sure they will send me a manual as they told me to look it up on the computer.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Can't complain.

Comments:Easy to move and install. Runs quietly. After allowing a few days, maintains temperature nicely. Looks nice. Can't rate as perfect because I don't have ability to judge longevity yet. I am quite pleased.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Awesome!

Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Allavino YWR-2715BRT Wine Fridge
by:Ken S. (06-30-2014)
Santa Clara, CA
Comments:Purchased this mainly to store my red wine collection. Roll out shelves are very nice and you are able to stack bottles on top of each other for easy storage. As usual, you will have to experiment with bottle sizes to maximize storage. The compressor is very quiet but the fan on top is somewhat noisy and vibrates a lot. It seems like if they used some foam around the fan area - it would have dampened the noise. Overall a nice fridge for the price.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Just what I needed
by:Gene (06-25-2014)
Vacaville Ca
Comments:I needed a new wine frog, and I am pleased so far with this unit. It is a bit noise sometimes, but being it is a back room this has not been an issue yet.

The delivery service from The Beverage Factory was great.

Good unit and I would recommend.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
