So far, so good!
by:Norman (12-09-2014)

Comments:My first wine fridge. Looks grea, love the racks and convenience. Louder than I expected, but friends with competitors tell me it's much quieter than theirs.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Very Pleased So Far, Nice Quality
by:Rick (11-01-2014)
Del Mar CA
Comments:Only had it for two weeks now but am very happy with it. The build is quality, the wood shelving is very nice and it is relatively quiet. The lights are cool even though mostly I have them turned off. Most likely I'll turn them on when we have people over for dinner.

I didn't build it and just have it standing in our dining room next to our china cabinet. This is only for white wine as I have a nice Le Cache 2400 for my reds. I think foe the money it is well worth it and I would recommend this to anybody. Obviously depending on the bottle sizes you may get less than 51 bottles in there...DUH???
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
Solid product for medium size
by:Enos (09-23-2014)

Comments:attractive and efficient and it can accommodate about 4 cases of wine depending on bottle variations. Given that all of these units have compressors and fans, there is a certain amount of ambient noise that should guide placement. As another reviewer noted, in a quiet house at night it's about as loud as a ceiling fan, like an electrical hum. Due to these Dbs at night I moved it out of my LR and into a hallway so that I can enjoy music and movies without the noise distraction.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
So far, no problems
by:RB (08-19-2014)
Comments:The unit does cycle on often and is louder than our previous wine frig., but it works well and there are no complaints to mention yet. It has only been 2 weeks in use.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
Cost of Operation and Various Noises
by:torpedo51 (08-04-2014)
Studio City, CA
Comments:Cost of Operation is exactly $4.50/month. The average ambient temp in my home is 80F and the fridge is set to 55F, and I pay $0.14/kWh. I've had the meter on it for over two months to be sure.

People are reporting constant noise and about loud noise. I find those comments to be misleading. The unit appears to have two distinct methods of cooling. The first is a standard compressor cycle, which sounds similar or identical to my refrigerator and occurs just as infrequently as my normal refrigerator. The second is a non-compressor cycle that has a whirring fan noise significantly quieter than the compressor. This fan seems to operate very frequently, but is insignificant enough to become ambient noise. In a quiet house at night, it sounds about the same as a ceiling fan on low speed (sort of an electrical hummmmm).

I'm not the slightest bit concerned about the fan working frequently because the sound is insignificant and cost of operation is very reasonable.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Comments:Great experience, Beverage Factory on top of all details. Delivery went smoothly. Love the cooler. Only minor complaint is that it is a little loud but it's in another room we don't use much and it isn't a problem. Love the roll out shelves.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
So far, so good!
by:Sandi (12-04-2013)

Comments:We use this wine refrigerator to store our red wines.

We have only had this refrigerator for about 2 weeks but so far we are pleased with our purchase. The shelves to pull out enough so you can see the labels on the wine. We like the fact that the shelves are wood instead of metal. We ordered the black door and the unit is very sleek looking.

Comments: We still have not received our first full electric bill so we don't know if the energy usage the manufacturer claims is accuraatge. The unit cycles on frequently but the noise is not loud. It quickly becomes background noise so you are not aware of it. So far the temperature seems to be holding well.

We were fortunate enough to be able to go to Beverage Factory and see and hear the unit before purchasing it. So far, all our contacts with Beverage Factory and the delivery company have been very satisfactory. Delivery was on time and the delivery person was patient to wait while we did a thorough inspection of the box. We did purchase a service contract and thought the deal that was offered to us was a "no brainer." We were told that if you don't need service during the term of the contract (5 years for us) you get half the money back you paid for the service contract. That's a great deal whether you need to use it or not.

After several years of researching the best wine refrigerator for our needs, we settled on the Allavino. We chose this one because it had decent reviews, held a good amount of bottles and looked nice.

NOTE: We were advised that the wine refrigerator should be on its own dedicated outlet. This is something any prospective buyer should check out with the knowledgeable sales people and/or the manufacturer.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
Quiet, Sleek and Effective
by:Napa Nubie (11-13-2013)

Comments:Have only had up and running for a couple of weeks. Runs fairly quietly - the cycling on and off does create some refridgeration noise, but not much (I have it in my living room and I live in a 1BR apt). Temperature seems to be consistenly 2 degrees warmer than the temperature at which I set the device, so I compensate by setting it 2 degrees lower than I want it (set at 53 instead of 55 and temp usually settles around 55). Temp stays pretty solid within a couple degrees - seems to hold mainly at 55 (when set at 53) and will occasionaly go to 54 or 53. The wooden racks are decent quality lacquered wood and on nice smooth rolling ball bearing shelves. Haven't tried to fill to capacity yet (have about 23 wine bottles throughout and 6 champagne bottled on bottom rack), but appears that I will be able to get somewhere btwn 45-51 bottles in there (really depends on bottle size and shape). Overall, really like it thus far.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.

Silence would be golden!
by:Lind (10-30-2013)
Palm Harbor, FL
Comments:Get ready for some intermittent noise! The unit goes through three cycles. 1) Dormant 2) Interior circulation fan every 20 seconds which is very mild and not bothersome 3) Compressor cooling fan that kicks on every 20 minutes (this may be dependent on ambient temperature which in my case is 76 degrees) and is louder than I would have expected. For comparison, the two traditional refrigerators in my home (equipped with compressor cooling fans as they all do) make far less noise. The rack system is ok but could be better. I read where someone fastened 90 degree moldings as side rails and I can see where this would really take the unit up a few stars on a rating scale. Other than that the unit keeps wine cool. The funny part is when I called The Beverage Factory to inquire about the noise from the compressor cooling fan, I was asked to email a recording of the noise. I did not bother.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
Allavino MWR-541-SSL Bottle Wine Cooler
by:Albert (10-14-2013)
Boynton Beach, FL
Comments:Our wine cooler arrived on time and as described on line. It replaces a GE Monogram cooler. We were thinking of repurchasing a GE, but at half the price of a GE, we thought we would give Allavino a try. It is an under-the-counter installation.

It has more features than the GE (wood shelves, temperature readout, etc.) We particularly like the blue interior light.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
Great Value

Comments:I recently purchased the 51 bottle wine refrigerator. I have only had it a couple of months, it does cycles on and off fairly often, but I am not finding the noise to be an issue for me.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
Happy Customer

Comments:I had read many reviews on wine units prior to purchasing.I was mostly concerned with the noise. I just installed the MWR-541-SSR in my bar area, noise is not an issue. I did have to remove one rack to store some of my larger bottles of wine.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
