| 2 cooling units in 3 years | |
| by: | derPenguin (10-11-2008) Texas |
| Comments: | Good, do-it-yourself design. Wines cooler at top than bottom but stable. Moderately noisy. 1st cooling unit failed after 13 months but replaced under warranty. 2d cooling unit failed after 25 months. Both times wouldn't hold below 60 degrees & fan/compressor runs all the time. Replacement CU is $300 + shipping from Canada. Unit set up & maintained per instructions. |
| Bottom Line: | I would not recommend this product. |

| Comments: | It seems that part are not available for the compressor in this model. So I am out of $1000.00. I really like the unit but, I am not going to replace it with this model. |
| Bottom Line: | I would not recommend this product. |

| Comments: | Good unit. Took about an hour to put together, not too bad. The cherry finish was nice and it does have a digital cooling unit. I like the tinted glass door. |
| Bottom Line: | I would recommend this product. |
LOCATING YOUR WINE CELLAR
Provide 4" minimum clearance for both sides and back, keeping the top completely clear. Under no circumstances should the unit be “built-in” in any way.
Never locate your wine cellar outdoors or in an area with extremes of temperature and humidity, i.e. garages, attics, unfinished basements, laundry rooms, breezeways, closets or any unventilated room. In other words, these units must be installed in air-conditioned environments which do not “trap” the warm air being exhausted.
Temperatures in surrounding area must not exceed 80°F (25°C) with humidity levels not to exceed 70% R.H. (Relative Humidity). Never set your temperatures below default (57ºF) whenever ambient conditions are warm (above 75ºF) or humid (above 50%R.H.).
Outlet power must be a DEDICATED separately fused, grounded, 15 Amp 110 - 120 V line.
