The Danby DWC166BLS is the pinnacle of the Danby Silhouette line of wine cellars offers an expansive 166 bottle storage capacity for the serious wine aficionado. Two separately regulated compartments store red and white wine at their optimum temperatures. Our Cool Blue LED track lighting creates a striking interior glow that illuminates the interior but does not create the heat common to an incandescent bulb. Designed for a built-in application this model looks equally stunning free standing.
An LED track lighting system beautifully illuminates bottles without the heat emitted by an incandescent bulb. Bottles lay horizontally on cherry wood stained shelves that roll out effortlessly for easy access with little agitation to the wine. The stainless steel trim on the shelves match the stainless steel trim of the tinted glass door and goes well with any kitchen decor.
This wine cellar comes with a black cabinet and is designed for both built-in and freestanding applications.

| Comments: | I purchased this unit after doing research on all the bigger sized units. The things I liked is that it has a real Stainless Door and the unit runs quiet. I haven't built it in yet but it can be pushed closer to the wall because of the fan. |

| Comments: | As a contractor, I've been working with different wine fridges for awhile now setting them up in my customer's homes. In my experience, this unit has a lot of features that come in real handy that other brands would be smart to include. First of all, the fact that each temperature zone is controlled by it's own compressor is a big advantage as it allows for more precise controls. I've used other units that don't have two compressors, so when you adjust the temperature in one section, it adjusts it by the same amount in both sections. Being able to control them individually allows you to store all red, all white or precisely determine the difference in temperature in one zone without affecting the other. The wood shelves and blue lighting are very attractive and I like that the temperature display is on the inside of the unit. Having it on the outside seems to make the unit look kind of busy and less elegant. The slide out shelves make getting to your bottles very easy. I tend to push for units that I can build cabinets around but even in situations that don't call for that, it's nice to be able to push it all the way up against the wall instead of having to leave 4 inches behind them like other models. I've probably installed 10 of these units over the last year and only had one issue with one. We contacted Danby and they were able to get someone out quickly to replace the thermostat. The service solidified Danby as my choice for wine fridges. |
