47" Wide FlexCount Series 256 Bottle Dual Zone Stainless Steel Side-by-Side Wine Refrigerator
The Allavino 2X-VSWR128-1SST Dual Zone Wine Cellar Refrigerator offers elegant built-in or freestanding storage of up to 256 bottles of red and white wine, and is loaded with special features that make it easier than ever to store your collection in it's optimum conditions. Made up of two single zone 128 bottle units with opposite hinged doors, it features new cutting-edge shelving that is thin enough to allow more space between shelves than you will find in similarly sized wine refrigerators, letting you store larger bottles without sacrificing bottle capacity. Each shelf is constructed of durable metal to provide reliable stability and prevent sagging over time, and has a stainless steel front and wood slats that cradle your bottles to help minimize harmful vibration. Both of the 2X-VSWR128-1SST's zones have an independent digital display with push button controls that allow you to easily monitor and adjust their temperatures, which can be set low enough to store white or sparkling wine and high enough to store red wine.

I purchased this unit because I needed more capacity than the KitchenAid unit built into my home, and I was specifically looking for something that could handle larger Cabernet and meritage bottles (primarily Californian) that would scrape the shelf above in most units.
Shipping was as described with strong communication from BeverageFactory and trucking company. The unit was packed VERY well, and would require a significant intrusion into the packing to damage the unit. I opened the unit and it was in new condition, with no damage.
As others have commented, there is a unique smell in the interior of the unit - smells like adhesive to me and likely part of what it takes to put it together. I left the unit open for 24 hours, and placed Baking Soda inside after placing the unit in it's permanent location and powering it up. This seemed to mitigate the smell,; however, there is still a faint presence, but not offensive and continues to dissipate.
The unit works pretty much as described. I do still have one particular Cabernet bottle (Celani Family Vineyard) where the shoulders of the bottle will graze the shelf above. Simple solution is to move those to one of the 3 shelves that have more room above them. Not a big deal to me, but slightly different than advertised. I am not a Pinot drinker, but would assume those bottles would need to go on the same three shelves, as that is where my Prosecco and Champagne bottles are, but this is as described by the manufacturer.
I love the shelf depth - definitely works as described and allows back stacking behind the front row of bottles. Standard Bordeaux shaped bottles fit 11 to a shelf, even some of my larger Cab bottles (Vineyard House and Ledson) will nestle in at 11 per shelf. NO other unit I looked at had that ability. All of that said, I haven't packed it all in there yet, but I won't be far short of the 128 bottle max capacity.
Temp Hold: I ran a remote sensor data logging thermometer for the first couple days. Looking to run 55 degrees, and had to set at 52 in order to get the compressor cycle to average 55 (would solidly fluctuate from 54 to 56 as the compressor cycled). A couple degrees difference between set/stated temp is actually pretty solid on a unit of this size/type.
Overall, very pleased!
