When the compressor is on, it's loud, louder than the frig we have next to it. The sound from the frig is more like ambient low frequency noise. This machine has the mid freqency noise that you can hear from a distant, too. It's a directional noise that is louder when you're in front of it. I had to line all surrounding inside the cabinet with carpet to reduce some noise but it's still louder than the frig (16 yrs old).

The design seems to be well thought out and quality seems solid, keeping the set temp on the dot. Quality control needs to be better because i found a 2 in bolt and a washer laying around in the compressor area. I hope they are not supposed to be holding something because the unit seems to work ok.

The instruction said no need to use door handle but they dont provide extra caps for the would be 2 holes. I call Summit and they said i had to find them myself at the hardware store. They are actually a crew with large stainless head. I doudt if any hardware store would carry that.

Installed this under counter over a year ago, it has operated flawlessly since then. I get a lot of compliments on the looks, and it keeps beverages cold. I keep it set at 40, have had no problems. 4 stars only because the internal fan operates pretty frequently and if your easily distracted by subtle noises know that this runs frequently. A bit more pricey than similar fridges at the big box stores, but I feel it's been worth it. Would buy again.

After returning a product from another company I found this beverage cooler to be everything I wanted and more. It looks great and it is very high quality. It was very easy to install and the stainless handle is very heavy duty. I would not hesitate to recommend this product. It came via freight to my front door and the packaging was superb. It was in a box within a box and there was foam between the boxes. No damage and in perfect shape.

I like the 3 bottle wine storage underneath 3 adjustable racks for everything else. Controls are inside the unit so it is clean and contemporary on the outside. Even with such a narrow size you can get a case of most bottles on a shelf. You will be hardpressed to use all 3 shelves for bottle storage so we took one out and have 2 shelves that can hold any height beer bottle. We can fit about 50 beer/cooler bottles and the 3 wine slots below as noted. Great unit

It has been installed about 3 weeks. This is a very stylish looking cooler. It looks great mounted under the counter and performs very well. It keeps the beverages nice and cold. I wish I could upload a photo to show just how nice it looks. We have not had any problems. It cycles fairly frequently on the lowest setting but the noise level is so low you can barely hear it. This size is good for small families and couples. I would definitely recommend this cooler.
