Kegco Set of 12 Low Profile D System Keg Tap Couplers
Model: 12X-KT41D-LP
- Set of 12 Kegco Low Profile D System Keg Tap Coupler
- Kegco's Low Profile Sankey Coupler significantly reduces the vertical space necessary to tap a keg
- NSF approved keg coupler features a durable nickel-plated forged brass body with a sanitary stainless steel probe
- Both the air input and the beer output come off the side of the coupler, reducing the necessary space for the beer line by about 4" over standard lever handle couplers
- Features a 55-psi pressure relief valve to remove excess pressure from the system
The Kegco Low Profile 2-3/8" tall coupler is the perfect keg tapping solution for space challenged places where you need to tap a keg. The short design requires 4" less space than standard lever handle couplers. It is compatible with all domestic brand "D" system Sankey kegs and is easy to use - to tap, simply pull out and then down on the lever handle. This coupler features a nickel-plated forged brass body with a sanitary stainless steel probe, a 1/4" I.D. beer outlet barb, and a 3/8" I.D. gas input barb. A 55-psi pressure relief valve allows over-pressurized gas to escape before it can enter your keg.

Great solution for commercial 5.15 ga ke MikeThis helps solve the issue of using comercial sixtels in a kegerator. Very low profile leaving room to get those comercial kegs into the kegerator without kinking the beer line. I wish it had an MFL connectors instead of barbed. Swapping between comercial and home brew (ball lock or pin lock) is easier with MFL connectors. Overall, a great product.

Necessary for 5gal kegs undercounter MasterCKOI recently did a remodel in my kitchen and we installed a Kegco under-counter kegerator as part of the install. Well, little did I know that even though it said 5 gal kegs fit, they don't fit when the standard tap coupler is installed because the beer line goes straight up for 5 inches or so.
These solved the problem. The gas and beer lines go laterally out so they sit just above the top of the keg and everything fits neatly inside. Setting it up was quite easy, just needed to pick up a cord cutter from the hardware store to cut cleanly through the beer lines (which had the screw type permanently attached to them from the factory) and a couple of small clamps to secure the lines (SAE size 4 clamps - 1/4" to 5/8" - are perfectly sized).
TL;DR: If you have a standard counter height (36" total) kegerator that you plan to put 5 gallon kegs in, you will almost certainly need these to couple with them, so you might as well buy them now.

Worth the work!
PapaGFirst, as a first time kegerator buyer, I was very disappointed to find out how tight, vertically, kegs are in my kegerator with the couplers supplied in the kit from the Beverage Factory. They really should explain that the included tap couplers are not ideal. These handles, however, worked out very well. Now my lines are compressed / kinked at the top of the kegerator with even an inch or so to spare. It was a physical challenge getting the beer line onto to the barb (lots of heating the rubber with hot water and working it to be pliable then using a LOT of straining), but once I got them on, it was ideal.
