The Beverage Factory offers only brand new aluminum Co2 Tanks. We do not sell reconditioned steel tanks. Every Co2 cylinder is produced from high strength aluminum alloy 6061-T6. These tanks are popular because they are not as heavy as steel tanks and do not rust. A carrying handle is installed on 10, 15 and 20 lb. cylinders only. The service pressure is up to 1800 PSI/124 BAR with a test pressure of 3000 PSI/207 BAR. These cylinders are stamped with required U.S. Department of Transportation and Transport Canada Markings. The 320 Valves are CGA approved, and have a male thread for Co2 Regulators.

Very nice tank, and a great value considering the price compared to other vendors and other sized tanks. The handle on it is very nice and is held in place by a large snap ring. This allows the handle to rotate 360 deg to accommodate any regulator. The aluminum is really nice and can easily be polished if a mirror finish is desired.

Get this instead of a 5lb or 10 lb

First off, this tank is about 20-30% lighter than steel. Secondly, getting a 20lb tank refilled is only $5.00 more than a 5-lb tank at my local weld shop. Now, for the downside. Your local weld shop may try to EXCHANGE this for a crappy steel tank. All you have to do is tell them you want this EXACT tank back. So, etch your name on it, get a proper receipt and then WAIT for it to be refilled. My refills take about a week. YMMV. This is the baby to get if you have the space.

Solid construction(go figure, it's a Catalina cylinder;). Handle has some play but if you slide a -032 o ring under the circle clip, it makes it nice and snug for solid carry. A scuba tank boot makes a nice addition to keep the bottom from getting scuffed up and gives it a more solid base. Make sure you get the 8" boot for this tank, not the more common 7.25" boot.

All CO2 tanks need to be tested every 5 years. We ship most of our tanks within 6 months of their first test date.
