Blichmann Modular Power Controller 120V

Blichmann's modular Power Controller is ideal for electric boil kettles, or other applications where temperature control is not needed, but a robust low-cost power controller is desired. Its ideal companion is with Blichmann's revolutionary BoilCoil immersion heaters, but will work for all manufacture's immersion heaters. Perfect for BIAB and extract brewers who want to get into electric brewing. This unique modular power controller allows you to precisely control the power of the electric heating element from 0-100% power with its fast-acting intuitive power knob. It features a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) which allows linear output for a perfect boil intensity and heating rate while making no electrical noise. The PWM controls the percentage of time the heater is energized over a very short 1 sec interval. So turning the knob to "6" energizes the heater for 0.6 seconds, and turns it off for the remainder of the 1 sec interval.

For larger kettles that needed more than one heating element, this Power Controller can install up to 4 optional relay modules allowing simultaneously heating up to 5 heating elements. Its integral DIN rail groove on the back allows connecting multiple controllers and relay modules together for wall or table mounting using readily available DIN mounting channels. Field changeable, cables routes can be out of the back for table mounting or out of the bottom for wall mounting. It also includes integral heat sink that keeps the industrial grade solid-state relay (SSR) cool for long life and reliable operation.
