More solid coupler than the "basic" type, for just a few dollars more.

Part of my "eradicate the CO2 leak" program; I wish I'd purchased this the first time. Considerably nicer to use and better built than the entry level couplers.

Dramatically better, stronger, and more air-tight than the cheapo pot metal kegco couplers that come with most kegerators. I should have upgraded immediately instead of dealing with the play, leaks, and weakness of the previous coupler. Buy. It. Now.

This tap is high quality and parts move well. The seal is very good with no leaks. Works great on 5 gal kegs since the handle is angled.

I bought this coupler so I could use commercial kegs in my keggerator. It includes a barb for the gas line. For the beer line you need to order a neoprene coupling washer (or a 6-pack of them). You will also need the connection for the beer line. I normally use cornelius kegs with ball lock valves so I needed a totally separate set of gas and beer lines to substitute for the lines with ball lock connectors. Look up 3/16" Hose Nipple/Tail Piece and Hex Coupling Nut. The coupler itself is nice. It appears solid and well built. I'm glad I bought a Perlick.

I replaced my original tap with this one and I am amazed on how well it works. No more wasted pours trying to get foam out first! I also recommend buying the Perlick faucets, they are perfect right out of the box!

I purchased this to replace another keg tap that I have had for several years. There is nothing special about this tap besides the high price. I do like the double seals on the unit and it hasn't leaked.

I kept getting beer surge after I opened the tap and this new coupler got rid of the problem. It Has a very thin wire to keep the floating ball in place instead of the large plastic inserts in most couplers.
