The flange with brass threaded inserts goes on top of the counter and the flange without goes on the inside of the kegerator, the two flanges are threaded onto either end of the threaded tube, tighten to apply slight pressure to create a seal on the flange surfaces. The tower then bolts onto the flange on the counter with the included M5 screws. We are advising against any gaskets at this time, but if you wanted to use a small bead of silicone that wouldn't hurt.
