Received just before our trip to left Florida Precooled it and placed my frozen food in the bottom. My other food on the top. Two days later arrived in Florida and my frozen food was still frozen solid. Tried this last year with my old cooler and everything thawed. The only problem we had was the wiring was backward, cold was where hot should be and hot where cold should be. Test it before you use it. Would have returned it but didn't have time.
