The Allavino FlexCount Series 2X-VSWR128-1SST Dual Zone Wine Cellar Refrigerator offers elegant built-in or freestanding storage of up to 256 bottles of red and white wine, and is loaded with special features that make it easier than ever to store your collection in it's optimum conditions. Made up of two single zone 128 bottle units with opposite hinged doors, it features new cutting-edge shelving that is thin enough to allow more space between shelves than you will find in similarly sized wine refrigerators, letting you store larger bottles without sacrificing bottle capacity. Each shelf is constructed of durable metal to provide reliable stability and prevent sagging over time, and has a stainless steel front and wood slats that cradle your bottles to help minimize harmful vibration. Both of the 2X-VSWR128-1SST's zones have an independent digital display with push button controls that allow you to easily monitor and adjust their temperatures, which can be set low enough to store white or sparkling wine and high enough to store red wine.

112 Bottle Capacity

The 2X-VSWR128-1SST features 16 shelves that can hold up to 11 bottles each and 4 shelves that can hold up to 20 bottles each for a maximum capacity of 256 bottles. The maximum capacity can be reached with many different bottle sizes and is only affected when adding in larger Pinot or Champagne bottles.

Digital Display with Blue LED Interior Lighting

Each zone has it's own digital display with easy to use push button controls so setting and reading the display is a snap! This wine refrigerator can be set low enough for white or sparkling wine, or high enough for red wine, ensuring your collection is always stored at it's optimum temperature. Cool blue LED lighting beautifully elegantly illuminates your bottles while remaining cooler than standard bulbs, and can be turned on or off with the push of a button.

Innovative New Shelf Design

Allavino is at the leading edge of shelf design, incorporating revolutionary metal shelves that are strong enough to hold bottles without sagging, yet thin enough to maximize the available space in the cabinet for wine storage. Wood slats refine each shelf and gently cradle each bottle to prevent harmful vibration from affecting your wine. Each shelf is finished with a stylish stainless steel front to match the door frame. Each of the shelves glide out smoothly on ball bearing tracks, so every bottle is easily accessible.

Store More Bottle Sizes

The intelligent design of the shelves creates more space between each shelf, allowing you to store bottles with varying diameters without having to remove racks which would reduce your overall capacity. Click on the Features tab above to see how your specific collection can be stored on the FlexCount shelves.

Built-In Design

This unit is front-venting, and can be built in to your cabinetry for a seamless look. It also has finished sides and top, allowing you to use it as a freestanding unit that will look great in any room of your home. A built-in security lock protects your collection, and two keys are included so that you can always have a backup on hand.

Fan-Forced Cooling

Internal fans circulate air inside the unit, reducing initial cool down time and preventing drastic temperature fluctuations that could be harmful to your wine.

  • Black Cabinets with Stainless Steel Frame Glass Doors
  • Curved and Towel Bar Handles Included
  • All black interior emulates the traditional wine cellar
  • Blue LED lighting beautifully illuminates the interior without the heat created by an incandescent bulb
  • Roller-glide shelves extend effortlessly, minimizing agitation to the wine
  • Internal fans circulate air for even cooling and faster cooldown
  • Operating Temperature: 41-64°F
  • Maximum Ambient Temperature: 90°F
  • Minimum Ambient Temperature: The lowest temperature you want to store your wine at. The unit does not have a heater, so if the ambient temperature is lower than the set temperature, the internal temperature will match the external temperature.
  • Dimensions: 55.2"H x 47"W x 27"D
  • Weight: 410 lbs.
  • Please Note: The handles are not attached to the unit during shipping, and will need to be installed when the unit arrives.

Wine Racks

This wine cellar has 16 shelves that can hold up to 11 bottles each and 4 shelves that can hold 20 bottles each for a maximum bottle capacity of 256 bottles. The maximum capacity can be reached with many different bottle sizes and is only affected when adding in larger Pinot or Champagne bottles, making this the ideal unit for diverse wine collections.

Allavino FlexCount Series Wine Refrigerators

Standard 750 mL bottle configuration

This is the standard 750 mL bottle, which most wine refrigerators are configured around as it is the most popular size on the market. It measures 11-1/2" tall with a 2-15/16" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 7-3/4" to 8-1/2". This wine cellar has 8 shelves that can each hold up to 11 of these bottles and 2 shelves that can each hold 20 for a maximum bottle capacity of 128 bottles.

Tall bottle configuration

This bottle is taller than the standard 750 mL bottle. It measures 12-1/16" tall with a 2-15/16" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 8" to 9". The taller shoulder and top would normally wreak havoc on your wine storage because the necks would touch, making the overall length of the bottles too tall for most shelves or pushing the outside bottles out, causing them to hit the sides of the wine refrigerator. Generally, you would have to remove a shelf to accommodate these bottles, but with the extra space available on these shelves, they fit just fine and do not affect the overall capacity.

Wide Shoulder bottle configuration

This bottle has the same diameter at the base, but the shoulder is wider, which would generally push it out of the grooves and make it rub on the shelf above. It measures 11-7/8" tall with a 2-15/16" diameter at the base and the shoulder tapers up from 7-1/2" to 8-1/4" with a 3-1/16" diameter. Due to the smart spacing on these shelves, these bottles fit with room to spare, preventing rubbing and allowing the maximum bottle capacity to stay the same.

Wide bottle configuration

This bottle is wider and shorter than the standard 750 mL bottle. It measures 10-5/8" tall with a 3-1/4" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 5-1/2" to 8". Bottles this wide don't usually fit in wine refrigerators and if they do, they have issues with rubbing on the shelf above and scuffing your labels. This wine refrigerator has no issues with this type of bottle so once again, your maximum capacity will not be affected if you have them in your collection.

Pinot bottle configuration

Until now, you wouldn't dream of fitting a Pinot bottle in a wine refrigerator without removing wine racks and drastically reducing the overall capacity. It measures 11-5/8" tall with a whopping 3-1/2" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 5-1/2" to 8-1/4". On this model, you can fit 6 Pinot Bottles on the bottom shelf and 11 bottles on both the spaced shelf and the top shelf for a total of 28 Pinot bottles without having to remove a rack. Even with 28 Pinot bottles, you still have a capacity of 105 bottles.

Champagne bottles

You can even store Champagne bottles without having to remove a wine rack! They measures 12-1/4" tall with a 3-3/4" diameter and the shoulder tapers up from 5-1/2" to 7-3/4". This wine refrigerator will store 6 Champagne bottles on the bottom shelf and 8 on both the spaced and top shelves for a total of 22 Champagne bottles and an overall capacity of 99 wine bottles..

Mixed bottle configuration

Perhaps there are people out there that only drink one type of wine, all the time. Most wine connoisseurs with a diverse palate are going to have varying bottle sizes in their collection, so having the ability to store all those varying bottle sizes without having to reconfigure and reduce your storage makes this the wine refrigerator of choice.

47" Wide FlexCount Series 256 Bottle Dual Zone Stainless Steel Side-by-Side Wine Refrigerator Reviews

Average Customer Rating:
(based on 9 reviews)
Early, but good so far

Comments:I purchased this unit because I needed more capacity than the KitchenAid unit built into my home, and I was specifically looking for something that could handle larger Cabernet and meritage bottles (primarily Californian) that would scrape the shelf above in most units.

Shipping was as described with strong communication from BeverageFactory and trucking company. The unit was packed VERY well, and would require a significant intrusion into the packing to damage the unit. I opened the unit and it was in new condition, with no damage.

As others have commented, there is a unique smell in the interior of the unit - smells like adhesive to me and likely part of what it takes to put it together. I left the unit open for 24 hours, and placed Baking Soda inside after placing the unit in it's permanent location and powering it up. This seemed to mitigate the smell,; however, there is still a faint presence, but not offensive and continues to dissipate.

The unit works pretty much as described. I do still have one particular Cabernet bottle (Celani Family Vineyard) where the shoulders of the bottle will graze the shelf above. Simple solution is to move those to one of the 3 shelves that have more room above them. Not a big deal to me, but slightly different than advertised. I am not a Pinot drinker, but would assume those bottles would need to go on the same three shelves, as that is where my Prosecco and Champagne bottles are, but this is as described by the manufacturer.

I love the shelf depth - definitely works as described and allows back stacking behind the front row of bottles. Standard Bordeaux shaped bottles fit 11 to a shelf, even some of my larger Cab bottles (Vineyard House and Ledson) will nestle in at 11 per shelf. NO other unit I looked at had that ability. All of that said, I haven't packed it all in there yet, but I won't be far short of the 128 bottle max capacity.

Temp Hold: I ran a remote sensor data logging thermometer for the first couple days. Looking to run 55 degrees, and had to set at 52 in order to get the compressor cycle to average 55 (would solidly fluctuate from 54 to 56 as the compressor cycled). A couple degrees difference between set/stated temp is actually pretty solid on a unit of this size/type.

Overall, very pleased!
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
I would buy this again!

Comments:This wine refrigerator is easy to set up and use. The slide-out racks are very solid and quiet. Recommend you use a thermometer to check temperature upon initial setting. Great equipment!
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
Good wine fridge

Comments:The best thing is the drawers are strong and pull out all the way so you can see the bottles in the back. We’ve only had it for a week or so but it seems to be keeping the correct temperature. When it cycles on it is a little loud in terms of the hum, but I can’t say if it’s louder than other compressed fridges. Like that it can be freestanding or built in.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
Great Bang for the Buck

Comments:I purchased the FlexCount on a great one-day Beverage Factory sale after having investigated numerous options for over 100 bottle storage. I settled on the 128 versus 177 size unit and am quite happy with the decision. I've only had the unit a short time but am quite satisfied with the unit's appearance and quiet operation. It holds temperature well and I expect it to meet my expectations to the point that I may purchase a second unit when I catch another good Beverage Factory sale. I strongly recommend this unit to anyone wanting an efficient storage unit that can easily be handled by two people.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
Met All Expectations

Comments:After reading many reviews on wine refrigerators I decided to spend a little more for this one. I glad I did.
The communication from the time of purchase through to delivery was excellent. They let me know when it shipped, gave me a delivery window, and called the day before to confirm delivery. The driver called about 45 minuted before delivery to let me know he was on his way.
When the driver placed the unit in my garage I noticed a small ding in the cardboard packaging so I opened the box to make sure it did not go through to the refrigerator. The unit was so incredibly packed that there was no way it could have been damaged. There were 2 layers of 1/2\" corrugated cardboard surrounding the unit as well as a standard cardboard box. All was strapped securely to a small pallet.
The refrigerator accommodates all sizes of bottles with the varying drawer sizes. I don\'t expect to get 128 bottles in because of the odd sized bottles but it will be close.
The unit is relatively quiet. Just some fan noise when the compressor kicks on. We have it in the kitchen and the noise is not bothersome at all.
Bottom Line:I would recommend this product.
How much beyond 90 degrees do the doors have to open to be able to slide out the shelves?
by Paul on October 30, 2019
The doors do not need to extend beyond 90 degrees in order to open the shelves which extend out to 87%.
Feel free to contact me directly to answer any additional questions or to place an order for expedited delivery.
